Advocacy

The Saint Vincent de Paul Hampton Advocacy Program is staffed with 10 trained counselors to help client’s emergency financial situations. We are a harbor of last resort.  In order to qualify for assistance, we require that clients have been rejected by local Welfare offices and Government and Private Agencies.

We work closely with the local Welfare offices, private and government Agencies to help individuals and families overcome unexpected financial issues. Many times, we work with these Groups to combine resources and divide the donation amongst multiple Groups.

We have a Volunteer Specialist who will participate in the interviews and help direct the client to contact additional Agencies that specialize in assisting in the support requested.

Most of these include utility bills, rental assistance, medical and dental bills, shelter and other necessities.

Assistance is available once every 12 months for those who qualify.
