Food Pantry
The Pantry is open from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday except on holidays. A Member interviews applicants in person or by telephone. If the applicants are eligible for assistance, they are given an evening appointment between 7:00 and 8:00 PM. and Fridays between 11:00 AM to Noon.
Later, volunteer members fill the orders to be picked up at the appointed times. Each order contains enough food to provide the family with meals for one week. Upon arrival, client information is reviewed and confirmed before receiving their prepared food order.
In 2014 the Pantry provided our clients with over 45,000 meals. Many of the clients were families with small children.
St. Vincent's Kitchen
The Society has operated a Kitchen at a Hampton Beach location for over 20 years. We serve two nights a week from Mid-October to Mid-May. Three other Churches and Hampton Rotary cover the other three weeknights.
Each month there is an assigned volunteer coordinator. They have the critical responsibility each evening of acting as a liaison during their assigned month to ensure continuity and a congenial atmosphere for all involved.
Members also cook and serve but a substantial number of non-members also volunteer. We would not be able to operate without the generous efforts of those kind persons.
The kitchen is open for dinner from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM Monday through Friday from mid-October to Mid-May.
Clothes Closet
On the days that the Pantry is open, we operate a clothes store on the second floor. Men’s, women’s, and children’s clothes are available to our clients. Donations are always welcome, especially children’s clothes.
